Private Worlds: A Revised Atlas |

I would like to take some time and share with the readers some information about
a book I recently read. It is a book of poetry by Scott E. Green and the title is “Private Worlds: A Revised Atlas”.
It is a collection of 99 short poems and haikus. The subjects are people or characters who are in some way involved in the
fantasy, horror or science fiction genres. First of I want to say that poetry,
and I guess it is true for all things, is either something I like or I don't. The book was both enjoyable and entertaining
for me and it is very well written. In some ways the book was like a trip down memory lane because some of the things Scott
wrote about were things I had not thought of much since childhood when I was first getting a taste for all of this. But to
be honest I did not recognize everybody he wrote about which was good in a way because those people I can search for and so
far it has been surprising and interesting what things they were a part of that I have enjoyed. Now I can put a face with
the shows or the books I have read that I never had before, and while the knowledge maybe trivial it is nice in a way to know
about those people. One case for example was a poem he wrote about the creators of “The Thunderbirds”. I used
to love coming home after school and watching that show in the afternoons. It was cheesy even then but a crowd of us would
be gathered around the television for an hour or so before we went outside. If
any of you would be interested in checking it out you can find it at www.abbottepub.com. It is an ebook in mobipocket format and it sells for $2.49. There are two of my favorite selections
from the book below so you can get an idea of what it is about. For Those of you who are interested I hope you enjoy it as
much as I did and maybe you will find your own happy memories.
