I am planning an anthology to come out sometime around the middle of the year. Submissions are now open for those of you who would like to submit for a chance to be included. The book will be sold on the Website to help promote it and you, and to hopefully finance future endeavors. The only compensation I can offer at this time is a spot in the book and the exposure that will give you.

 

There is no theme for the book. I would like to see horror stories, poetry and art. And as usual the staff here at Death Head Grin, which is me, always has a soft spot for anything with dark humor. I wish you all the best of luck, and I look forward to your submissions.

 

Fiction

 

There is no word limit for stories but please just one submission.

 

Poetry

 

Again no limits and I will accept up to four submissions per person.

 

Art

 

I will be accepting up to four submissions per person here as well.

E-Book update 5/30/2011

 

I am extending the deadline out until the end of June for e-book submissions. I hope this will help those of you who are having trouble making it by the end of this month. Thank you to all of you who have submissions in already, I am anxious to get started reading them soon.

An update concerning the e-book.

　

　

There has been a change of plans for the upcoming anthology I am planning. I am going to divide fifty percent of the profit between all the contributors for as long as the book sells. I would like for everyone accepted to have a Paypal account so I can send you your money easily, including the contributors who live in a different country than I do. I have gotten submissions from a lot of other countries besides the U.S.

　

I will look at reprints, but I would prefer that they not be something that has appeared on Death Head Grin previously. I feel that there would be a market for an e-book with the authors and artists that have appeared on this site in the past, but I think it would be better to give the audience something they have not read here before if possible. If your previously submitted work is all that you have of a darker nature and you would like it considered for the e-book let me know and I will look at it with the other submissions.

　

As for now I am just planning it as an e-book. That will keep the costs low and I can offer it in different formats that will work on the different readers or computers that people would be reading it on.　

　

The tentative deadline for submissions is May 31 and I plan to start reading them on the first of May. I am still doing little things here and there to the Website and I am still working on advertising and promoting the Website as well.
